Lymph Loves Walking

We don’t always think of walking as “exercise,” but it is one of the most powerful, accessible tools for supporting your lymphatic system. Walking creates natural, rhythmic muscle contractions through the entire body, especially the legs, hips, and core. It’s these contractions that help move lymph fluid — which, as we now know, has no pump of its own.
And the best part? You don’t have to do a marathon. A brisk 10 to 20-minute walk, especially first thing in the morning or after meals, can make a big difference. Swing your arms, breathe deeply, and if possible, get out into nature while you do it (two-for-one lymphatic support!).
Many clients tell me they feel lighter and less puffy when they walk regularly. Pair this daily movement with your monthly lymphatic massage and you’re giving your body the consistency it craves for long-term wellness.
